INCITEGov is a policy research and advocacy center providing support to democratic movements and spearheading democratic reform coalitions and initiatives. It was founded in August 2005 as a membership-based, non-profit organization.
INCITEGov applies the P-G-D lens in its analysis of key national issues, seeking to probe and underscore the links between Democratic Politics, Good Governance, and the achievement of targeted Development Outcomes.
INCITEGov chairperson Teresita Quintos Deles joins more than 500 political, civil leaders, Nobel Laureates, and pro-democracy institutions in a call to #DefendDemocracy.

Convene, catalyze and support citizen's informed critical and purposive collective actio to defend/strengthen democracy and democratic governance.
GROWING AND PROMOTING PGD DISCOURSE AND ACTION
Undertake research/studies, fora/conversations, and projects to 1) defend and strenghthen democratic institutions and civic space; and 2) address issues and develop reform tracks in polciy areas that impact the lives of the poor and the marginalized sectors.

A wave of populist regimes has captured some of the world's robust democracies in recent years. From the US and Europe to Asia and South America, democratic backsliding became a trend as populist leaders surged in appeal and won national elections. In the Philippines, Rodrigo Duterte's strongman brand and populist tactics similarly thrived, leaving a trail of polarization that afflicted even the once-united sectors and coalitions of civil society organizations (CSOs).
